I was an artist for a few sketchcards for the Topps Last Jedi trading card release.

Here are my Artist Returns. These are only available from me. All are available.

Star Wars is turning 35.  Topps is celebrating by issuing a new trading card release.

I’m on board as a sketchcard artist for this release.  Here is a small preview of what I am contributing.

Celebrating the 35th Anniversary of A New Hope, Topps is releasing its most ambitious Star Wars card set to date! This massive 350-card collector’s set covers the characters, creatures and vehicles from all 6 films as well as the Expanded Universe and The Clone Wars. Each super-premium 24 pt. foil-stamped card is full of intriguing details and includes a set of icons that cross-reference other cards in the series that relate to it. Plus each base card has 4 sets of rare parallels: Blue (350 each), Red (35 each) and  Gold (35 each). Special inserts complement this in-depth retrospective: “I Have a Bad Feeling About This,” Duels of Fate, Heroes on Both Sides, and Classic Lines. Additionally a set of 20 Foil insert cards showcase rarely seen black and white photography from the original trilogy. Each Hobby Box includes 1 Sketch Card and either 1 Autograph (Hobby Only) or 1 Embroidered Patch “relic” card (Hobby Only). 12 cards per pack, 24 packs per box.

Topps will soon be releasing a new Star Wars trading card set.  I’m pretty excited to be a part of this set as an artist on “sketch cards”.  I’ll be doing an undisclosed amount, not trying to spoil the surprise.  I’ll be releasing a few previews of what I’ve done when I’m able to.

Until then, here are a few concept’s and test paintings.

I’m honored to announce that I am officially on the upcoming Avengers Assemble Trading Card and Marvel Beginnings 2 sets as an official sketch card artist. I’ve got a couple of cool things planned for these sets and I’ve already begun work on them, however they all remain blank. Sometimes the prep work seems to take more time than the actual creation of the card itself. I do have plans on puzzles for this go around. So keep your eyes peeled for these trading card sets to be released later in 2012.

The Avengers Assemble Trading Card set is the official trading card for the upcoming Avengers movie.

The Marvel Beginnings 2 set is a follow up to the kick ass Marvel Beginnings set released last year.

I’ll update with more specifics about the products when I have them. Both sets are being issued by Upper Deck.

CBLDF update

Cryptozoic has released a little more information on the CBLDF Liberty Trading Card set, including a few of the sketch card artists.  It’s a who’s who in the art world for sure.  I’m stoked to be included in this list of participating artists.  Check it out here.

Here are the Beanworld cards I did for this set.
