So baseball season is officially over.  So it make sense to do a quick baseball piece right?

Here it is.  Alan Trammell and Lou Whitaker turning a double play.

Had a pretty cool piece commissioned. Ron Washington is the manager for the Texas Rangers.  I was approached to do a piece for a Christmas present for a huge Ron Washington fan.

And here is the result.  I wound up doing three to get it right, the other two are available in the shop.

I’ve recently completed a couple of Mike Adams original pieces.  Here is a sneak peek of the process.  I’ve got a couple of originals in my store.  Head over and check them out here.

Over the weekend, I took a Nelson Cruz piece and took it a little larger, and put it on a stretched canvas.  I think it turned out well.

Here is a sneak peek at the process.

Step 1, draw out the rough image and cut.  Cut, cut, and cut somemore.  You can see where I messed it up and had to repair it with tape.  Once you’ve spent as much time on drawing it out and the cutting, making a mistake makes you really want to fix it rather than start over.

Step 2, getting paint on the canvas, for this one just a light white base laid down to help the dark blue pop off the canvas a touch.

Step 3, was adding a bit of blue and letting it dry.

Then another one was done.  Each of these is 16″x20″ on stretched canvas.

Oh yeah, the Rangers are in the World Series too.
